1 Write your title in pencil, spacing each letter to accommodate paint dots.

2 Using a new pencil eraser, dip the eraser lightly in acrylic paint and stamp along the pencil lines. Retouch the paint after each print and wipe the eraser clean every 2–3 dots.

3 After the paint dries, add circles and highlights with a micron pen.

CREATE A CUSTOM BACKGROUND WITH RUBBER BANDS AND DIMENSIONAL GLOSS MEDIUM

What an amazing and economical technique Shannon used to create her background paper! She placed 6 to 8 rubber bands on various patterned papers and filled them in with Diamond Glaze. After letting them dry overnight, Shannon cut them out and added them to a cardstock background. She filled in the remainder of the card-stock with rubber bands and repeated the Diamond Glaze treatment. Once the background was dry, she added her photos, title and journaling. Shannon put the pieces aside while they dried and worked on other layouts. The drying time of this treatment may take a while, but it is so worth it for this cool look!

Supplies

Patterned papers (BoBunny, Daisy Bucket Designs, Pink Paislee); happiness die cut (My Mind’s Eye); ticket (Jenni Bowlin); alphabet stamps (Hero Arts); Diamond Glaze (JudiKins); Misc: foam adhesive, rubber bands; font: Balker
